Top 5 Reasons Why Wives Love Radio Control Airplanes

I have always joked about having to sneak a new airplane into the house so the wife does not see it. In truth my wife is my biggest supporter and she never has given me any grief about my numerous hobbies or the “stuff” she sees come into the house. Especially when I get such amazing deals and everyhting is only ten or twenty dollars. Yeah right, like I could fool her.

For many years now she has endured and so have the many wives of model airplane enthusiasts around the world. Such support is rooted in love, but I believe that our wives have some other thoughts about our hobby. Here is the Top Five thoughts I am sure woman think when they think about their husband’s model airplane hobby:
5 – What else would the dinning room table be used for? Who needs to have a dinner party when it is the perfect size to build a wing on.

4 – Nitro fuel smells just as good as any cologne and my man smells so good in it.

3 – He is just too cute when he plays with his toys.
2 – Of course he needs another airplane, if he gets that big airplane I can get that …. (insert jewelry, shoes, clothes, etc)

1 – Whew! He bought a new airplane, that means he will be in the workshop until midnight for a week and I can actually get some sleep in bed. :)

Of course this is all in fun and I would love to hear from the ladies what else they think about their guy’s hobbies.
